I make this recipe at Thanksgiving, and each year it gets rave reviews! I typically skip the marshmallows & almond extract, and substitute agave nectar for the sugar in the potatoes. WONDERFUL flavor! I cut the recipe in half since there are only two of us. I used brown sugar instead of white. This is the way we always have our sweet potato casserole in the South! Very, Very tasty and good for a potluck dinner. Prepared as a participant in the Southern, Cajun, Creole Tag September 2009 Event in the Cooking Photo Forum.people found this review Helpful.
