- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 6 green onions, chopped
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 (15 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
- 8 ounces mayonnaise
- 1⁄2 lb shrimp, cooked and peeled
- 4 ounces diced green chilies
- 1⁄2 lemon, juice only
- Mix it all up.
I have to admit when I first read through this recipe, I was a little worried about how this would turn out. But it was easy to put together, so I decided to try it. To my amazement this was nothing short of spectacular! Everyone raved over this. I didnt use the celery, because I am not a really big fan of it, and so I dont keep it around my home very often. I think this is one of my favorite dips ever! Thanks so much for a yummy little appetizer.
Excellent recipe!! I mixed everything together as proposed but without adding the prawns. My suggestion is: Get medium sized plates, put lettuce (or any of the ready-made packs) on half the plate, heap King Prawns on top of the lettuce, add a good tablespoon of the delicious dip next to it and 2 or 3 half slices of crusty bread onto the space remaining. This way it looks stunning and everyone can add as little or as much dip as they prefer. I never would have believed that this alternative to your prawn salad could taste this good! Bravo!!!
