Oh, yooper, you've done it again!!! YUUUUUUMMMMYY!! I used fresh broccoli because I have a ton of it in the fridge (hey, can't pass up a good bargain/lol) Followed the recipe exactly, served with salad and breaded pork chops. DIVINE!! Thank you!

Wonderful casserole! I used fresh broccoli and added some fresh cauliflower to it, only because I didn't have enough broccoli. I sprinkled a few breadcrumbs on top. It was great! We had this with grilled steaks and a plate of cucumber and tomato slices.

We loved this yooper!! I have lots of broccoli from our garden. I did leave out the sugar. Tasted great and it is different than any broccoli casserole I have ever tried. This went great with our baked orange roughy. Thanks so much :D

This was an excellent casserole to serve to a group of women I entertained recently. I served it with a jellied salad and a Waldorf salad and warm rolls. Everyone raved about it. Thank you.

Please don't take this personally, yooper, but I didn't care for this at all. I followed it exactly, baked it for the right time, etc... It was scorched on the bottom, too sweet (I didn't like the sugar added), and I didn't care for all the bread in it. I have abstained from rating it because of the "ratings wars", but now decided to be honest.

A good casserole, but next time I would omit the sugar - it is just too sweet. I too used fresh broccoli and it turned out great - I like it better than frozen b/c I can cut the broccoli into smaller bite-size pieces.
Thanks for posting.

This was a huge hit at Thanksgiving last year & I plan to make it again this year...the only thing I'd cut back on is the sugar. I also added French's Cheddar Dry Onions & some crumbled bacon on top for color & a little extra zip!

This was quite easy to make and certainly different. I used fresh broccoli and it made a very rich dish. I personally found it a little too rich and too sweet, so if I try it again I'll leave out the sugar.
