This is the best apple pie I've ever had. My husband agrees, but suggests more apples for a thicker pie!

This was delicious and so easy. I doubled the topping and also baked in an oval 2.8 L Corningware. Served warm with vanilla ice cream, can't be beat for it's ease and taste.

Very good! I used brown sugar on top of apples with cinnamon. (turned out a little like caramel flavored apples!) I also didn't melt the butter, made it more like a streusel topping. Loved it!!
Thank you!

This is very good but next time I will use 1/4 cup splenda.Splenda works very well in this recipe.

I'm not sure where the "English" comes from in the name but this was good & certainly easy! I sliced 4 LARGE Crispin apples & had to use a Pyrex casserole dish for baking. I reduced the amount of sugar to 1/2 cup but next time, I'll cut back to 1/4. I also included a sprinkling of nutmeg. Thanx JellyQueen!
