  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl.
  3. Add apple slices.
  4. Sprinkle water and lemon juice over apple slices and toss until coated with sugar.
  5. Spoon into a deep dish pie pan.
  6. Dot with butter.
  7. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  8. Add flour and stir until smooth.
  9. Dab on top of apples.
  10. Bake for 50- 60 minutes.
  11. Serve warm.
