I made this as a test run for my Thanksgiving dinner, well... it made it, BIGTIME, I followed the recipe exactly and you could not ask for a more delicious, creamy, wonderful soup. This will be the first course on my table. Thanks so much for the recipe!
Very tasty. I chopped up the chestnuts into pea-sized pieces (my husband has an issue with foods' "texture"). We added a bit of Franks Hot Sauce which made it even tastier.
Rich is right. Without the cayenne and nutmeg it might have been a little bland -- but these gave it a nice touch. Thanks for helping me use a leftover package of chestnuts in a way I would never have thought of.
